The system was developed for use on armored off-road vehicles Toyota Land Cruiser 200. In such cars, special requirements are imposed on the braking systems. The brake system StopTech HD corresponds to them completely.

Testing of brake systems on armored Toyota LC 200
Car Lexus LX 570 MY`12 (Light Armor), weight about 8 000 kg. Test tests were conducted from 64-0, 98-0, 128-0 and 161-0 km / h with both configurations of brake systems. The ABS system is activated.
Standard system:
Tests from 98-0 km / h were interrupted after 10 stops due to overheating of the brakes.
Brakes "floated" during braking 64-0 km / h after 11 braking, when braking 98-0 km / h after 9 braking, 128-0 km / h after 4 braking.
When braking from 98-0 km / h, the stopping distance to stop was 43.5 m
When braking from 161-0 km / h, the stopping distance to stop was 75.9 m
